DISELYSIA’S BIO

Monica Hill, known in the literary world as Diselysia, has been writing poetry and short stories for most of her life. She has a developed a deep passion for words and believes literature and spoken word possess a unique power to motivate others politically and socially. She began her writing career when her writing was first published in an anthology in 2004, The Universe-Soul Language vol.1, by Kobalt Books.

Monica Hill recently launched her own public and media relations company, Carpe Diem Communications, to help other unique artists -- from poetry to hip-hop -- get their voices heard. Hill is currently a journalist for the Examiner.com .

She currently lives and promotes her work in Atlanta, where she is also building a foundation for social revolution by aspiring to structure a non-profit organization that focuses on exposing a positive world of expression to local troubled teens, through poetry and music.
